Had a really really nice stay, the hotel is beautiful and absolutely charming.
The location in a tranquil area was particularly good and there were local markets and a market nearby. It took me 15 minutes to walk to the bus stop. The hotels' team was really friendly and superfriendly...

Staff were fabulous with us. We were 2 families of 9 people in total and from the kitchen staff to the room cleaners and especially the 3 awesome men running the tour and transport counter, they made our 2 week stay absolutely easy going and most pleasurable. There were a couple of slight hiccups with our booking, but all sorted out with Management the next day. We would recommend Kata Palms Resort to anyone and loved the brekky each morning and the pools were amazing, especially happy hour in the pool bar at 5pm..2 For 1 yay !! The actual location itself in Kata is very family friendly/orientated and after visiting phuket and patong on regular shopping visits, we were so pleased we chose Kata. The locals knew us after day 3 and some of them became like our Thailand family haha, so lovely and friendly. Dont forget to try the banana pancakes on the street, drizzled with condensed milk omg to die for !! Cant wait to get back there and would definately stay at this resort again and again. Thanks Kata Palms and Booking dot com, for making our holiday so memorable. The Agius Family of Beaconsfield, Victoria, Melbourne Australia
Only main drama we had was that our arrival which was scheduled for approx. 11Pm at resort, was delayed due to flight time changes, which meant that we didnt arrive at resort until almost 2am and our greeting with an older gentleman at the front desk was less than friendly or organised, but when the sun rose and day staff clocked on, was a totally different story where staff couldnt do enough for us

Kata itself is an amazing safe place to stay in Phuket a very family orientated place. The staff at Kata Palms were lovely and very accomodating. Our rooms was ery spacious and very tastefully decorated in Thai style. Room service and mini bar were at the conveniance store prices which was great. The shower was great with two shower heads. The pool was awesome a "moate" around the whole resort, plenty of shade. The hotel foyer was a great place and the tour and taxi service desk gave awesome deals and prices. Breakky was great huge often not needing lunch. I would reccomend this place and wold come back in a hearbeat.
We arrived at 2am and it seems it was not communicated that we had 3 children so noting was prepared for my 3rd child even though I had written this on my booking form it seems it was Booked.net fault for not comunicating this. I needed to pay extra but it took a few days to actually get housekeeping to supply 3 lots of towels and water etc

The pool access room we stayed in was beautiful, perfect for both relaxation and playtime with my niece. The friendly staff were a joy to interact with, and each day we enjoyed the clean pool area which was just a short walk from our room.
In my wife's opinion, the breakfast selection could be more varied each day to cater better to families with kids.

For the off peak price we paid this was a good value resort. Lovely pool, adequate breakfast and lovely garden/pool area running through the middle of the hotel. Our deluxe rooms were large and clean. We did not get the interconnecting rooms we requested but had rooms side by side instead. Close to restaurants-10 min walk to beach. a good resort.

Nice stay but some hiccups
The pools are fab, and I really enjoyed the free breakfast. But, I had a major issue when a friend came over. They wanted to charge me for bringing guests to my room. That really put a damper on my vibe.

The location was great, very close to the beautiful Kata beach and many great restaurants and restaurants and street food options and easily accessible. The staff were exceptionally nice and the breakfast was tasty with so much fresh food, individually made omelette.

The room was beautiful and spacious with a pool view. Breakfast was a highlight, with a wide variety of delicious options. The staff were always polite and greeted us with smiles. We loved the relaxing massages at warintorn spa after a good workout at the fitness center.
the only downside was that the rooms were a bit dark, and we couldn't open the sliding doors because of mosquitoes.

Great hotel. Large modern clean rooms with nice design/theme. Two great pools, one mocked up as a tropical oasis. Some rooms had direct pool access. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Location: ten minutes to the beach, 2/3 minutes to the various bars/restaurants. Kata town a ten minute walk the other way. Free internet access in rooms and lobby, dining options, happy hours in hotel bars. Nice and quiet in hotel at night, perfect for a relaxing break. (We went outside of school holidays/low season).
Nothing. All good!

Had an awesome group trip here! The pool was fantastic and the location was so convenient for exploring local markets and dining spots. The staff were super friendly and helped us set up a great island tour. Don't miss out on the delicious breakfast and beautiful garden area for a chill vibe.
We did have an issue with check-in being a bit slow, frustrating after a long journey.
